Actress, Writer, Filmmaker, Model
HI THERE! WELCOME TO MY WORLD!
I am Veronica Maria Maccari and I hail from the land of pasta, prosciutto and Sophia Lauren - Italy! Specifically Milan. I moved to the United States to pursue my career in acting, straight out of high school. Being a competitive sailor in the Italian Sailing Team all my childhood, I attended Hampton University as a sailing student-athlete and a Theatre Arts student. After two years, I transferred to the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in NY, and completed the Studio Acting Conservatory program in a year and a half, graduating in February 2017. I worked as a film, TV and theatre actress in NYC for a few months - most notably in a regional tour of Macbeth at Shakespeare on the Sound. Later on, I moved to Los Angeles to complete my undergraduate degree at AMDA L.A., where I graduated with a BFA in October 2018 (wohoo!).
Along the way, I have honed into another passion of mine: WRITING - for stage, TV and film.
I begun by writing short films in which I would also play the lead - most notably, Samantha, featured in the Festival de Cannes 2015, In Between (2018) and most recently Foreigners' Tales (2018), which I am working on turning into a series. On the other hand, I have also been workshopping the The Asset for the past year: an exciting full-length play about sexual manipulation in the workplace and female ambition. I am excited to be planning its production for the 2019 Hollywood Fringe Festival in June! Currently, I am in rehearsal for the hit Off-Broadway play My Big Gay Italian Wedding, playing at the Hudson Theater every weekend from March 8 until March 31st, 2019. Come through to see me play the hilarious Maria Pinnunziato! Feel free to email me for more info or just browse around my website!
